We believe you should know where we sit before you know where we stand. The contributors of this blog are Reformed by conviction and Baptist by practice. By “Reformed” we mean that we are covenantal in our reading of the Bible, presupposing a basic continuity and unity between the Testaments. We each subscribe to the London Baptist Confession of 1689. By “Baptist” we mean that we believe in the baptism of confessing believers, but not their non-professing children or infants. This does not mean we believe our little ones are outside of God’s covenant common grace anymore than Jews thought their girls—who were never circumcised—were outside of the fleshly (i.e. physical, national, corporate) covenant blessings of Israel.
